2025 Port Orford Jubilee Parade Grand Marshal
Milton Finch
Milton Finch is honored to serve as the 2025 Parade Grand Marshal for this year’s Port Orford Jubilee. A dedicated member of the community, he has actively been a leader with the Port Orford Jubilee. He served 20 years organizing the Jubilee for the community.
He is the past President of the Jubilee, and his wife Dee was Vice President. Serving alongside them was Jeff McFarland. The Mayor at the time, Jim Auburn, called Milt the “Voice of Port Orford”. Milt had his old blue truck and it was covered with Disney characters and a good set of loud speakers. On the day of the Parade, at 7:00 AM he would start driving around town announcing activities such as the Rotary Pancake Breakfast, etc. He would also use his “Blue Sound Truck” to announce the Parade floats and then in the evening he would announce the thank you’s and Fireworks to those in town that donated or participated. He has a deep passion for our annual Jubilee and Parade, and has been instrumental in keeping the cherished tradition alive.
Beyond his commitment to the parade, Milt was in the United States Army for 8 years during the Viet Nam Era. He left the Army with the rank of Sargent. He was been on the City Council for 4 years. A local business owner, he has owned Hwy 101 Liquor for 21 years. He also owns Finch’s Custom Jewelry next door.
When not organizing or participating in community events, his passion has been his jewelry design and repair. His other passion, Harley Davidson motorcycles. An avid rider for years, he especially loves his 1957 Pan Head.
